First-Time Home Buyer Experience:Working with Sanna has been a fantastic experience. My wife and I learned the entire home-buying process from start to finish. During our first meeting, Sanna clearly explained the overall process, including understanding our budget, selecting areas, considering schools, and choosing the type of home. She regularly provided us with a list of homes that met our criteria, and we would then narrow them down and plan viewings on weekends. The disclosures and other documentation she shared were very helpful throughout the process. Since we had specific Vastu requirements, it was challenging to find a house in the Bay Area that aligned with them. However, Sanna worked closely with us every week, making it a joint effort to find homes that met all our needs. During the sales process, we had numerous doubts about the documentation and property details. While Sanna clarified most of these, we still had to make some quick decisions to move forward. We followed many of her recommendations for securing a loan, home inspection, pest inspection, and more. Although we felt we could have done more research on our end, her suggestions did help us secure faster and reasonably priced services. The negotiation process wasn’t ideal for us, as we had to communicate through both the seller’s and buyer’s agents, which felt a bit non-transparent. Later, we realized this was more of an industry-wide issue and not specific to Sanna. One surprising moment was when Sanna called us after we had submitted our offer to increase the price based on feedback from the seller’s agent. While this seemed like an unfortunate Bay Area practice, we decided to take a firm stance against it, which ultimately extended the process but worked out in the end. Once our offer was accepted, most of the remaining steps involved paperwork with the escrow company and loan provider. Sanna’s involvement was less at this stage, which we learned is typical in the industry. Overall, Sanna guided us through the entire process, from home search to our housewarming ceremony. We were very impressed with her expertise, professionalism, and personal touch. She was wonderful to work with, and we’ve since become friends. If you’re a first-time homebuyer, we highly recommend approaching her!
